because everyone need this on their dash.
And because Loki wants to be able to fly. Closest he’s going to get with that is stealing Tony’s suit.
Kate: That really is a cool fucking picture.
Steve: How did he get one of Tony’s suits?Kate: That I don’t know.
Now he can fly into my bedroom

Idek. I’ve been painting this for million years, and I’m not fully satisfied yet, but to make it look better I will need another million years, so I’ll just leave it here…
This is the artpost for the reverse challenge in the 2nd round of the dc_dystopia challenge over at LJ. The wonderful king_stitch wrote a heartbreaking, beautiful story for it, please make sure to go read it.

Let’s take a moment to think about this scene. You probably can’t see it due to the coloring, but if you look closely, you’ll see that when Loki fully realizes that Thor became a better man by means of a woman he barely knew of, he sheds a tear. It’s subtle, almost transparent, and you probably won’t notice it at first for his rage captures one’s full attention (you know, the heat of the moment); but below that gluttoral wrath and apparent hatred for Jane lies the bitter truth that Loki is disappointed in himself, along with utter self-hatred. He says he never wanted the throne, which means he never wanted power or glory or anything that Thor was about to receive in the beginning of the movie. He wanted to be his equal, in means of love, respect, and the ability to change one another into a better person. Thor and Loki have known each other for as long as they both can remember, and so in the same manner Thor can influence Loki, Loki wanted to be the helping hand to his brother’s misguided thinking and childish persona. The Thor he sees now is the Thor he wanted to see, but he wanted to make that happen, not anybody else, much less a Midgardian stranger Thor happens to meet by coincidence.
Basically, Loki failed to be a good brother to Thor, and so he’ll disown himself from him in an attempt to keep some dignity left and try to stand tall when, deep down, he’s falling apart.
